Bullseye’s Axe Throwing

Frequently Asked Questions

Axe Throwing is new to many people. Here are the questions that we get asked the most.

Do I have to know how to throw an Axe?

Absolutely not! Our trained Axpert Instructors will show you how to throw an axe. They will review your first few throws and provide pointers, and then let you have at it once you are ready.

Is Axe Throwing safe?

Yes. Very safe actually. We know you’ve seen the video where an axe almost hits a lady (not at our venue). Here is an explanation as to why this happened.

At Bullseye’s the axe can not be handed off between throwers and must be put back in the holder between turns. The lanes are divided with fencing to prevent anything going across lanes. The flooring below the target is heavy rubber to absorb any bounce from a dropped throw. Finally our team of Axperts are always supervising the lanes and will call out anything that they see as unsafe.

What should I wear?

While we want everyone to be comfortable while throwing, you must wear closed-toe shoes. Clothes that you would wear bowling would be the best gauge of what to wear!

What food and drink can I bring?

You are welcome to bring in any food you want, so long as it does not require a heat source, such as a crock pot (Exceptions are made for private rentals). While there is nothing wrong with bringing homemade food, we encourage you to support local restaurants in the community and grab something from them. You can also order via Woosh and they will deliver it to the facility. We do not provide napkins, plates, silverware, or cups, so please plan accordingly.

Any and all beverages must be in an unopened container upon entering and No Alcohol is allowed.

What ages are allowed?

Everyone 8 and older are welcome to throw (Though we do expect you to use your judgement). Younger children can throw for free on our foam target as it is available. Children must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and there must be a responsible adult with them at all times.

Can we rent the whole place?

Absolutely! We would love to host your group outing, company team-building event, or fundraiser. Call or email us for available times as we can host these any day of the week! Let us know of any special requests your group may have and our team will make sure your event goes off without a hitch.

What are digital targets?

Our venue utalizes a projection system which has the target projected onto the wood. This allows for different games to be played on the same lane. Your group will recieve a mouse and a keyboard to control your target and keep score!

How does pricing work?

Similar to a bowling alley, the cost is per-person-per lane. Each reservation time includes safety rules and a demonstration on how to throw. There is a buffer after your reservation which ensures that you are able to enjoy yourself for the full time that you pay for, and prevents any overlap between groups.

Do I have to make a reservation?

Reservations are highly recommended to guarantee a lane for your group.  However, similar to a bowling alley, walk-ins are always welcome during our standard open hours as long as there is a throwing lane available. Wait times will vary depending on the day and time.

What if I can't pay online?

Unfortunately we have had to update our payment policy due to the increase in no-show customers. You will be required to make a deposit at the time of your booking which can be done online or over the phone. You will also have the option to pay the full amount at this time.

Do you accept Walk-Ins?

Yes we do, though we cannot guarantee a lane will be open. Booking online is the best option that will guarantee you a time slot. You can also call ahead to book or check availability.

When are you open?

We are a small local business and our closing time may vary if no reservations are made. We are open Thursday & Friday from 5pm-9:30pm, on Saturday from 12:30pm-9:30pm, and on Sunday from 12:30pm-6:30pm.

We do offer a wider time range for large group events. If you don’t see a time that fits what you want, give us a call and we’ll be happy to try and fit your group in – we’re confident that we can make just about any time or day work with at least 48 hours notice

What if I need to cancel?

We know things come up and life happens. We ask that you give us a 24 hours notice for cancellations and after that we’re always happy to help you reschedule to another available day or time.  We can also issue a gift certificate in the amount of your reservation for convenient use at a later date. No refund or gift card will be issued if you no show for your reservation.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! We sell physical gift cards in store and also digital gift cards on our website which you can purchase here
